My Summer Library is part of Read On Tucson, a grade-level reading campaign that emphasizes three key pillars of success:  school readiness, mitigation of summer learning loss, and attendance.  The 12 FREE, self-selected books that are the core of My Summer Library help promote the 2nd pillar of success.  The books are provided by United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona (UWTSA) and Scholastic Books, and paid for by local donations and grant funds.  The target grade levels focus mainly on Kindergarten and 1st grade.
