Poz Café volunteers work in a variety of roles, including greeting and welcoming CarePartners and guests, assisting in the kitchen, setting and clearing tables, serving food, handing out CarePackages, helping with bingo and raffles, and much more. Volunteers in this position are stationed at the Museum's Stingray Touch exhibit! They help guests engage in being touched by the rays and feeding experiences; they also provide interpretation of the aquatic collection and provide information about the Sea of Cortez.

This is a unique opportunity to volunteer with marine animals at an AZA accredited facility. Aquatic Interpreters get the chance to expand upon their public speaking skills, while gaining knowledge of species related to the Sea of Cortez.

Volunteer: Donation Pick-up and Apartment Set-up for Refugee Focus

Are you ready to do some heavy-lifting to set up new homes for refugees?

We are seeking volunteer(s) to help our department's Pre-Arrival Specialist pick up donations and set up apartments for arriving refugee families. We receive donations from families, communities, businesses, individuals, churches, and schools. Volunteers will help pick-up items around town and help us move them to our donation storage facility, as well as help select and move items from our storage facility to new homes.

Volunteer(s) must be in good shape for this activity, and should be able to lift and transport heavy items. Volunteer(s) must be able to bend, stoop, push and lift up to 50 lbs, and be able to help move large furniture. Volunteers will also unpack donations, and pick items for apartment setup for arriving refugee families.

A flexible schedule is desirable, as donation pick-up and apartment set-ups can be sporadic.

Assist in assuring that all contract and license requirements (DES/DDD, DES/Childcare Licensure, accreditation, etc.) are being met including; collecting data on objectives, lesson plans/reflections, data collection, monthly, incident and physical management reporting, timely meetings (30 day, all staff meetings, team meetings,), etc. Assist in supervising Summer Arts Camp Counselors II and III, and volunteers Perform all duties as requested

Tucson Interfaith HIV/AIDS Network offers our hearts and hands to provide compassionate and non-judgmental service to those affected by HIV/AIDS.  Through education and support and a variety of programs and advocacy, we work to build bridges, reduce stigma and sustain hope. Newsletter Folding Party Volunteers help us once a quarter, for a few to several hours of your choice, to help us get important news and information to our many constituents. No experience required!
